Rainclouds over Loch Harry was painted during the summer holidays of 1961, when Kemp and his son
Jeremy were
staying in a little cottage by Skeabrae and rowed out across Loch of
Harry to paint a series of skyscapes.
Two paintings of YESNABY CASTLE were undertaken on the same holiday. A
related more finished skyscape is in the collection of MOMA Wales.
